Asa cum scriam in prima parte a acestui articol, am sa vorbesc astazi despre cei care reprezinta astazi India in lume.
Dupa cum se poate vedea in acest clasament, India se afla pe locul trei in ce priveste numarul de miliardari in lume:

1. SUA 536
2. China, 213
3. India 90
4. Rusia 88

Aceasta se datoreaza si existentei o unui numar mare de indieni sau oameni de origine indiana, care se afla la conducerea unor mari companii internationale pe functii importante si chiar de CEO. (Chief Executive Officers)
Acest lucru arata in mod clar ca acestia nu sunt doar bine pregatiti profesional ci sunt la fel de buni ca si conducatori.
Cea mai recenta intrare in lista este, desigur a lui Sundar Pichai pentru Google.
Iata lista scurta a catorva dintre directori executivi ai catorva dintre cele mai mari companii di lume. Unora le-am adus cu ingaduinta voastra, cateva randuri din biografie…

1. Sanjay Jha – Global Foundries
Inainte de a prelua marea compania Global Foundries a servit ca CEO la Motorola mobility si mai tarziu la Qualcomm

2. Ajit Jain – Berkshire Hathaway Insurance

5. Punit Renjen – Deloitte PLC
Ultimul CEO-ul indian Punit Renjen care a fost numit CEO al gigantului Deloitte PLC.
Renjen, detine o diploma de licenta si o diploma de master in management de la Universitatea Willamette, SUA.

8. Ajay Banga – MasterCard
El este actualul presedinte si CEO al unuia dintre cele mai importante companii de servicii financiare. Dar si membru al consiliului de administratie al Dow Chemical Company, membru al Consiliului pentru Relatii Externe si membru al Consiliului International de Afaceri al Forumului Economic Mondial.
Banga a crescut si educat in India, si a absolvit cu un Bachelor of Arts in economie de la Colegiul Sf. Stefan, Universitatea din Delhi si un MBA de la Institutul Indian de Management, Ahmedabad.
Inainte de a se alatura echipei Mastercard, Banga a avut functii de conducere si roluri executive de la Nestle si Citibank printre altele.

7. Shantanu Narayen – Adobe Systems
El si-a inceput cariera de la Apple si apoi ca director pentru Silicon Graphics. Narayen s-a alaturat Adobe in 1998 ca un senior vicepresedinte pe produs de cercetare la nivel mondial si mai tarziu a fost promovat la vicepresedinte executiv numit in postul sau actual in ianuarie 2005, la varsta de 41de ani. Singurul CEO-ul indian de sex feminin, la o companie globala si printre primele 100 de femei cele mai puternice din lume. Nooyi a facut scoala in Chennai, si mai tarziu un MBA la Institutul Indian de Management Kolkata, Nooyi a continuat cu un masterat la Yale, Statele Unite ale Americii.

9. Sundar Pichai – Google
Conduce mai multe echipe si proiecte si a fost numit vice-presedinte de catre CEO-ul Larry Page in 2014. A facut studiile in Chennai si a castigat Bachelor de gradul de Inginerie de la IIT Kharagpur in Inginerie metalurgica. El detine o M.S. (Masters of Science) de la Universitatea Stanford si un MBA de la Wharton School de la Universitatea din Pennsylvania. Castiga ~ 50 milioane $

10. Satya Nadella – Microsoft
El a lucrat cu Sun Microsystems, in calitate de membru al personalului sau de tehnologie inainte de Microsoft. El a detinut in diferite functii inainte de a fi numit in functia de CEO.
Scola a facut-o la Hyderabad Public School, inginerie la Manipal si apoi a continuat sa faca de masterat in Informatica de la Universitatea din Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Mai tarziu, el a primit un MBA de la Universitatea din Chicago Booth School of Business.

Inainte de a se alatura acestui gigant, Nikesh a lucrat cu Google ca ofiter sef de afaceri. Este cunoscut al treilea cel mai bine platit executiv din lume. A absolvit Institutul Indian de Tehnologie (BHU) Varanasi cu o diploma de licenta in inginerie electrica in 1989. El detine o diploma de la Boston College si un MBA de la Northeastern University. Nikesh Arora a lucrat anterior pentru Deutsche Telekom, Putnam Investments si Fidelity Investments. Nikesh a fost vice-presedinte la Google, pana in 2014 si a detinut functii de conducere la Bharti Airtel si diverse alte companii. Castiga~ 132 milioane $

Vedem ca o parte din marile companii sunt conduse de directori executivi nascuti in India, facand parte dintr-o generatie de studenti talentati care au parasit tara de origine si au urcat in topul a unora dintre cele mai mari corporatii din lume.
Este o provocare pentru oricine pentru a intelege care este mecanismul care face ca toate aceste persoane sa atinga pozitii atat de inalte in cariera si societate. Este clar ca nu toti s-au nascut in familii de academicieni, ca nu toti au avut acces inca de la varste fragede la cele mai noi cuceriri ale thnicii, nu toti au avut biblioteca de acasa plina de carti.
Incerc o prima afirmatie care poate explica fenomenul:
Toti acestia sunt persoane care au inteles care este diferenta intre a avea un loc de munca si acea de a avea o cariera.
Si acestui scop si-au dedicat viata si efortul intelectual.
Cautand sursa acestei capacitati si a predispozitiei spre efort poate vom descoperi secretul succesului.

Se stie acum ca multe dintre aceste persoane provin din medii modeste, dar care au studiat in India la cele mai bune scoli de tehnologie si management inainte de continua studiile in Statele Unite, unde ca sa o spunem asa o mare parte din profesori sunt tot de origine indiana.
Sa luam cazul lui Sundar Pichai, noul CEO al Google. El s-a nascut in familia unui un inginer electro si un stenograf din orasul indian Chennai. Familia sa detinea un apartament cu doua camere, unde a lasat sufrageria lui Sundar si fratelui sau mai mic. Parintii i-a cumparat un telefon abia cand acesta a implinit 12 ani.
Pasiunea pentru tehnologie l-a condus insa catre studii de inginerie la Institutul Indian de Tehnologie – una dintre cele mai bune scoli din tara. Apoi, el a castigat dreptul pentru o bursa la Stanford.

Specialistii spun ca exista si alte motive pentru care indienii au atat de mult succes si aici poate fi punctata o a doua explicatie:
Cursuri la cele mai bune scoli din tara se desfasoara in limba engleza ceea ce reprezinta un avantaj imens pentru indieni.
O alta caracrteristica importanta este aceea ca
Managerii originari din India demonstreaza, abilitati de adaptare ascutite atat in activitatea lor cat si in mediile sociale.

Va intrebati poate de ce acesti indieni fac atat de mult pentru America sa spunem, insa nu fac nimic pentru ca sa ridice tara lor. Este probabil din acelasi motiv pentru care atatea minti stralucitoare nu s-au putut manifesta in Romania trebuind sa ia drumul strainatatii pentru ca sa isi desavarseasca proiectele vietii, care au dobandit utilizare la nivel mondial. Amintiti-va de Victor Babes, Ana Stefania Maracineanu, Spiru Haret,Traian Lalescu, Grigore Antipa,Henri Coanda, Aurel Vlaicu, Constantin Brancusi, Ghe. Emil Palade.
Ei bine nici pentru acesti indieni, conditiile din tara lor nu au fost suficiente pentru a oferi acestor minti stralucite posibilitatea de manifestare plenara, pentru a-si oferi valoare lor cat si pentru a o crea pentru milioane din ceilalti.
Si atunci au trebuit sa aleaga intre a merge de unul singur spre desavarsirea personala sau, din patriotism, sa se alature celorlalti care plimba turistii straini cu bicicleta, transformata in taxi, pentru una sau doua rupii.
